A mother, Nana, and her son, Satoshi, have moved to an isolated island in the south with no relatives. The two are father and son-in-law, and Satoshi was the stepchild of her husband, Ryoji, but they escaped to this island together to protect Satoshi from her violent Ryoji. Nana, who works hard in a vast sugar cane field in an unfamiliar land, is soon spotted by a local man, but Satoshi desperately protects her. Not as her mother, but as a woman...
